Accommodations
The Nordhavn 43 has proven itself as a true around-the-world cruiser that a couple can comfortably handle. Lots of live aboard room including a midship master stateroom with walk around berth. This Nordhavn 43 was custom built for her very experienced owner. She took 4 months to commission (April 2005) with all of the details very closely supervised by the owner. In 2006, she spent another 6 weeks at the commissioning yard for finishing. She has a very extensive equipment list from stern thruster and extra house batteries to duplicate electronics. She was just hauled with new bottom paint and zincs this October.

Entering full width main salon from the cockpit, there is a settee to port with storage under and galley forward. Across to starboard is "L" shaped dinette with teak table. Large windows are on both sides which open with screens and accordion window shades. Forward is entertainment center with 21" LCD TV and a cabinet with Splendide washer/dryer combination. Teak sole with engine access hatch. Teak steps up to pilothouse with freezer to port. (3) reverse cycle 16,000 BTU air conditioners with digital controls in salon, pilothouse and master stateroom.

Master Stateroom
On the starboard side of the pilothouse is a circular staircase which leads down to the staterooms. Aft is the large master stateroom with walk-around berth to port, night stands on both sides and storage under plus hanging lockers, 15" LCD TV. To starboard is large head with granite counter top and separate shower stall. Opening ports with storm covers. Aft is a watertight, sound dampening bulkhead door to engine room. Teak soles continue throughout.

Guest Stateroom
Forward of the staircase is the guest stateroom with double berth to port and a desk with swing out seat to starboard along with a hanging locker and storage. Forward is head with shower. File sized drawers are located under the berth in guest stateroom.

Galley
"U" shaped galley to port with granite counter tops, teak cabinets with lots of storage including additional pot drawer under oven, Force 10 gimbaled oven with 3 burner stove top outboard, overhead exhaust fan, island counter aft with double stainless steel sink, drawer and cabinets, overhead cabinets, opening port with storm cover, forward is microwave and cabinets, front opening Sub-Zero refrigerator, trash compactor,and there is even an extra storage access door on the reverse side of the galley counter.

Her owner has customized and expanded on Nordhavn's offering by adding port console for laptop computer, many redundant systems plus many other details, like muffin blowers to keep dash electronics cool.
