Overview
Cruising World's Best Midsize Cruiser of the Year in 2000
Sail Magazine's Top 10 Boats for 2000
When the Tartan 3700 was launched in 2000, it represented a significant upgrade in design and build-quality from the previous generation Tartan 3800. She is a modern Jackett design and offers more interior volume than her predecessors. The increased volume is seen primarily in the 12'6" beam of the boat, which is carried well aft into the cockpit.
The Tartan 3700 has a fabulous layout. This is truly a two couple boat as the aft cabin OR forward cabin can be used as the master. You don't find that often in vessel of this size, but remember, this is not typical 37'. The Tartan 3700 is more often compared to her competitors 40'.
With a 12+ year production run and over 160 built, it is no surprise that the top sailing magazine's loved the 3700. Her cruising performance, elegant accommodations and smart design are just a few of the reasons for such high accolades.
Sailed primarily on fresh water lakes, namely Lake Ontario, she was then setup to be cruise ready and ventured south along the East Coast to Florida. Several trips were made to the Bahamas with each summer season being brought to Westland Marina in Titusville where she's been on the hard each year for hurricane season.
