SPECIAL NOTE:

S/V Brisa has been in the midst of a comprehensive and expensive refit for almost two years.  The ultimate goal was to renovate her to top condition and cruise her to the Bahamas and the Caribbean.  Check out all the incredible upgrades.  Due to unforeseen circumstances she must be sold.  This is a great opportunity for someone to complete the final projects then sail her away.  She's presently blocked in a working yard at Westland Marina in Titusville.

The Endeavour 40 Center Cockpit is one of the perennial favorites offering the dual roles of comfortable living and offshore cruising in a well-built, proven Bob Johnson design. Her shoal draft of 5' makes her ideal for local and Bahamian waters. The spacious forward cabin and additional head/shower makes the Endeavour 40 CC a popular choice for the owner who likes to have friends aboard for the weekend, coastal cruise or head out to the great blue yonder.

Hull and Deck Construction

The hull of the Endeavour 40 is molded as a single unit of a combination of polyester resin and fiberglass woven roving and multidirectional chopped strand fiber (MCSF). The keel is molded integrally with the hull and the lead ballast encapsulated inside. The deck and cockpit, like the hull, are molded as a single unit of a combination of polyester resin and fiberglass woven roving and MCSF. Plywood coring is incorporated between layers of fiberglass in the cabin top, deck, seat, and cockpit sole areas to give additional stiffness. The non-skid finish is molded into the deck and the exterior finish is pigmented gelcoat molded onto the fiberglass.

The hull-to-deck joint is a 'flange' type, which during assembly, is liberally coated with a combination adhesive/sealant. The deck is then lowered onto the hull and fastened in place with stainless steel thru-bolts. When the bolts are tightened, the excess compound is forced into the crevices and out the sides. The teak cap is then installed, bedded in a heavy layer of the same compound and secured in place, doubly ensuring water tightness.
