Viking builds all of its yachts to last: a rigorous quality assurance program that requires building over 90% of each vessel in-house. The finest materials available are employed by a highly skilled and specialized workforce. Composite construction throughout the yacht blends great strength with significant weight savings. For the ultimate in structural integrity, the 47 has just two major components: the hull, and a one-piece deck superstructure extending from the bow pulpit to the cockpit liner.

To lower the yacht's center of gravity, and stabilize drivetrain alignment. Viking uses a unique system of steel engine beds mounted on low intermediate bulkheads. Viking also builds composite fiberglass fuel, water and holding tanks, eliminating the possibility of corrosion and increasing systems' reliability. To minimize sound levels, the engine room ceilings composite construction helps contain machinery noise, creating the quietest possible onboard environment.
