For the ultimate in structural integrity, the 47 has just two major components: the hull, and a one-piece deck superstructure extending from the bow pulpit to the cockpit liner.

To lower the yacht's center of gravity, and stabilize drivetrain alignment. Viking uses a unique system of steel engine beds mounted on low intermediate bulkheads. Viking also builds composite fiberglass fuel, water and holding tanks, eliminating the possibility of corrosion and increasing systems' reliability.
