Overview
"S/V NAMASTE"
Shannon Boat Company, founded by Walter Schultz, is known throughout the world for building outstanding blue-water cruisers. Shannon sailboats have been featured in many notable publications including both volumes of "The World's Best Sailboats" by Ferenc Mate. Walter Schultz, designer and boat-builder said, "I like to build boats as well and as strong as I possibly can." Every item was thought out for its effectiveness when designing the boats. "Namaste" is an example of the careful consideration to detail that a Shannon sailboat has. It is reflected in the ease of sailing whether in fair winds or to heavy weather, comfort for long passages or live aboard, and for its classical design and beautiful workmanship.
"Namaste" has had two owners, one from the Boothbay Harbor Region, where she was sailed during the summer and stored inside for the winter. The next owners sailed her offshore from Boothbay Harbor to Merritt Island, FL, and enjoyed several trips to the Bahamas, and pleasurable day sailing where they almost always spotted dolphins and occasionally a turtle or a manatee.
