1980 Gulfstar CC Ketch
Yacht price
Overview
Recently surveyed, both hull and rigging! Only minor issues of which the owner has repaired or replaced. The hull and bottom are in fine shape for a boat of this age. She is currently turnkey and ready to go sailing. Don't miss out on this opportunity if you've been watching her.....If you're looking to go cruising, you should check out this large center cockpit ketch. The interior has been partially refurbished. These 50's came in two models, this one is a "walk thru" meaning you can walk thru the galley to the aft cabin. There was also a "walk over" version which required you to go out into the cockpit to enter the aft cabin. She has a Perkins engine which was rebuilt in 2004. Both main and mizzen sails are "stack pack" with a roller furling jib to make her a dream to sail. Gulfstars are known for being both sturdy and reliable. This ketch has already experienced and cruised Europe, The Med and the Caribbean and is ready to go again. She has recently been surveyed and did fine.

Accommodations
The interior layout of this boat came in a two and a three stateroom layout. This 50 is a two stateroom layout. The three stateroom had a very small cabin where the nav station is located and was used in the charter trade. As you enter from the cockpit, you come into a large salon area with the galley to port and nav station to starboard. Going forward, the salon has a large U-shaped dinette which converts to a double bed on port. Across from it is the settee which converts in to two single berths. Forward of the salon is a large stateroom with a double V-berth with plenty of built in storage and a stand up shower and bath. Thru the galley aft, leads to a master stateroom that again has a double berth, built storage and stand up shower/head.
- Double berth forward
- Two singles on starboard
- Double berth aft in Master
Galley
On the port side, the galley is L-shaped and runs down the port side with lots of counter space and storage. The refrigerator/freezer is custom made with sliding drawers with wire rack storage to make access to contents very easy. (No more digging to the bottom of the freezer to find the items you're looking for.)

- SS Double sink
- Chest Refrigerator

Brokers Comments
This ketch is located next to a 1980 Gulfstar Sailmaster 47 which is also for sale making it easy to show two different type of ketches at one time. The Sailmaster is a raised salon ketch, center cockpit with a much different feel in the interior. She is listed for $154,900 and can help you define your needs further.....
