Overview

The William Garden designed, Vagabond 47 Ketch/Cutter is a world renowned, serious, classic, bluewater cruiser.

She underwent a major refit in 2003 which included new masts, spars, standing and running rigging, roller furling fore and staysails, custom designed fully enclosed cockpit, electric anchor windlass. The hull was completely repainted below and above the waterline. The teak deck underwent a complete reseal.

She is ketch/cutter rigged for the highest possible degree of flexibility in setting and controlling sail area and maintaining sail & helm balance. She is easily handled under sail or power by a couple or short-handed crew, in all wind strengths and on all points of sail. Her massive rudder lets her turn on a dime. Inside and below her classic honey colored Asian teak joinery abounds, from the large comfortable main salon and galley, to the two cabins each with an adjoining head. She even has a woodburning fireplace in the salon for those of you who will venture out of the tropics!

If you want to go cruising in a true bluewater cruiser that's available at a reasonable price, don't miss this one!

Here's an added bonus, she's docked behind the owner's house and he's open to working with the next owner on dockage!!!

Brokers Comments
This boat looks great from the outside and only needs refinishing on the interior. Other than that she is ready to go cruising. Lack of use is the main reason the current owner is selling her.
