History of SV Point Final 1

2010 Built in France

2011 Delivered to Montreal where it was registered in the name of the first owner.

2011 to 2018 Kept in fresh water on Lake Champlain NY. It was never used in Canada so Canadian taxes were not paid on it. It was used on Lake Champlain approximately five months a year and hauled out the rest of the year, entirely covered with a tailormade military-grade fabric cover (this cover is available and stored in Canada at the moment). During sailing season, the first owner kept the boat at the dock practically all the time. The boat was more a cottage to him.

2018 We became the second owners and kept the boat on Lakre Champlain unl September 2019. The hour meter showed 423 hours.

2019 We left Lake Champlain in September and started our descent south through the ICW (Intra Coastal Waterway). We arrived in the Bahamas in December 2019.

2020 We sailed in the Bahamas until May, at which time we had to leave and go further south because of the coming hurricane season. All islands were closed because of Covid, so we island-hopped to Turks and Caicos and Puerto Rico for fuel and food, and did a 5-day sailing to Grenada, where we arrived at the beginning of July. We remained in Grenada for a year.

2021 We left Grenada at the end of June and did a 3-day sailing to Curacao for hurricane season where we remained until February 2022.

2022 We left Curacao in February, sailed to Bonaire, and to St-Croix, USVI on a 3-day sailing. Between February and mid-June, we sailed the USVI, BVI and Martinique. Mid-June, we left Martinique and did a 3-day sailing to Bonaire. We remained in Bonaire and Curacao for the hurricane season unl mid-November, at which time we sailed back to St-Croix USVI on a 3-day sailing.

2023 Between mid-November 2022 and mid-June 2023, we sailed to St-ThomasSt-John USVI, St-Martin, Guadeloupe and Martinique. We returned to Grenada mid-June for hurricane season and remained in Grenada unl January 2024.

2024 Between January and June, we sailed to St-Vincent and the Grenadines, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Antigua and Barbuda, and back in Grenada in June for hurricane season.

2025 Between January and March, we sailed in the St-Vincent and the Grenadines, and back to Grenada in April.
