Descriptions
"Adeline" has been well maintained by it's one owner. The boat was a "Great Lake Boat" for over twenty years. Spending its winters on the hard and its summer's in freshwater. The boat is solid. The sugar scoop walk-thru transom and attached swim ladder makes boarding the boat from the 10' inflatable tender, with 3.5 Nissan outboard, a breeze.
It was transported down to Southwest Florida a little over two years ago. At that time the mast was stepped, and the rigging inspected by a professional rigger. The owner had replaced, over the last few years, the running rigging. The Doyle in-mast mainsail was replaced five years ago. The furling genoa is 150% and the asymmetrical spinnaker has been lightly used.
The engine is a Perkin M80T with only 1,005 hours on it.
Since this boat hasn't "lived" in Florida its hatches and ports are clear with very little sign of crazing. The interior is in very good condition. The forward cabin, with it ensuite marine head, has an upgraded, custom mattress that was added a few years back. The salon is wide open and has a settee that can easily accommodate six adults. On the bulkhead, above the salon is a 42" Panasonic TV.
The galley has a three-burner propane stove/ oven (two propane capacity located in a locker behind the helm, deep stainless-steel sink and top loading freezer and a side opening refrigerator completes the galley.
The aft marine head is spacious and is located at the foot of the companionway stairs - making it easy to double as a wet locker. The aft cabin berth is a large double.
The cockpit is roomy with high coamings that provide an extra level of safety. The helm with its binnacle that supports the Raymarine ST60+: wind, depth and speed display along with the Raymarine 80C chart plotter that intergrades with the radar.
Broker's Notes
If, you are looking for a 40+ foot sloop to live aboard or just to travel to the islands you must see this boat. The owner has done the right things over the years. The boat has been sailed but not beaten. Being twenty - three old its in great shape for its age.
The major area's that are important in purchasing a used boat ha been address: strong, well maintained hull, standing rigging inspected, low hours on the engine, sails in very good condition and very nice interior.
Since, it was a "Great Lake Boat" it does not have a generator, solar panels or Bimini; the price has been adjusted to reflect this.
