From the moment you step down into "Meteor's" finely finished interior, you are ensconced in a feeling of seaworthiness and comfort. The steps are graciously appointed, and the teak and holly finish of the cabin sole shines. To starboard is a comfortable nav station with all the latest electronics, a large chart table, and storage for paper charts. LED lighting is ample throughout the entire boat. 

Forward of the nav station, the dinette is large and roomy enough to seat 6 comfortably. The new cushions and upholstery give the boat a modern look, which complements the traditional teak beautifully. The table folds out, and beneath it is a custom bar. To port is the settee, which, again, is a beautiful modern contrast against the teak. The new cabin windows with custom blinds give the cabin a warm light. 

The forward head has two doors--one giving private access to the spacious v-berth and the other giving access to the main salon. The head has a roomy stall shower, a new head, a stainless sink, ample storage, and a nice teak grate. 

Across from he head, the 16,000 BTU AC unit has its own locker for easy access and ventilation. 

The forward stateroom features a roomy v-berth, a hanging locker, and drawers for storage. It is graciously appointed.

Aft and to port of the stairs, the galley is roomy and filled with storage. If features a double stainless sink, a propane stove and oven, and a large refrigerator/freezer which makes ice. 

The master stateroom has its own private electric head and a large double bed surrounded by storage on either side. The layout is surprisingly modern for a boat built in 1985.

The boat could comfortably cruise with a family aboard. It has all the conveniences and all the style! Nothing has been ignored in the refit of "Meteor!" 

The deck and hull are balsa cored above the waterline, and solid fiberglass below the waterline. Her bottom was painted in 2017 and an entirely new rudder was fabricated. The standing rigging and the rig were replaced in 2003, and her chainplates are accessible and solid. This is a seaworthy boat.

Decks are glass, cockpit is teak, which is in fantastic shape. This boat is solid and seaworthy! Thru-hulls are bronze and are newer. Bilge is clean, clean, clean! Stuffing box is dry. Engine access is convenient, despite the small compartment. It can be accessed from all angles. 

This boat was originally built with a centerboard but the previous owner pinned it up and fixed it in place. This gives you a shallow draft. Her performance has not been compromised at all--she regularly races and wins!

Not to be taken for granted is the fact that this boat has been owned and maintained by the owners of Sailor's Exchange, the legendary chandlery and marine consignment store in St. Augustine, FL. What this means is that "Meteor" has been refitted and maintained with the BEST equipment and care. She is a gem.
