She was built to very high standards by the renowned Taiwan yards of Ta Shing. Originally sailed in fresh water, it was upgraded to a world cruising yacht by her prior owner in the late 90's. No expense was spared in preparing her for extended ocean crossings. All areas of the boat were upgraded. The present owner has also made several upgrades. She is an outstanding bluewater cruiser and just needs some TLC.
Being a 50 ft, centercockpit boat she has a roomy three cabin layout. And being a ketch/cutter she has a very flexible sailplan, can accomodate a wide wind range, and can be handled by a crew of one or two. Ta Shing also builds Taswell, Mason, Norseman, Baba, Panda, etc. Originally sailed in fresh water, it was upgraded to a world cruising yacht by her prior owner in the late 90's. No expense was spared in preparing her for extended ocean crossings. All areas of the boat were upgraded. The present owner has also made several upgrades and she is now in new or better than new condition.

Main salon & Galley
Sleeps six in three cabins. From the bow there are twin V-berths with an insert to make one large bunk. There is storage in teak cupboards along both sides of bunk. Going aft and to port is a double berth, with storage underneath bunk, and a hanging locker. An en-suite head and shower are directly across to starboard.
The main salon has a U-shaped dinette that can seat 6 plus 2 bar stools around a beautiful teak table. The seating area has just been reupholstered in July of 2005. To port behind the settee is a bookshelf and lockers for storage. On the bulkhead forward is a 23" flat panel TV (2005). There is also storage in the base of the teak table.
The galley is to starboard and well designed for cooking at sea and entertaining in port. Outboard is the Force 10, 3-burner stove and oven. The top opening fridge and freezer (new July 2005) are to your left and the double stainless steel sink on the right. There is plenty of counter space and large cupboards for storage, and stowage under the sink as well. Just aft are the pantry and a counter with two bar stools and footrest for breakfast or lunch. The galley is very light and airy with good ventilation.

Master & two guest cabins
There is a walkthrough to starboard and running aft to the master cabin, which features a full nav station, lockers for books, charts, equipment, etc. The engine compartment and electrical distribution panel are also accessed via the passageway.
The master aft stateroom features a large queen berth with en-suite head and shower. There is a hatch and 4 opening ports for ventilation plus a separate companionway and ladder to the cockpit.
