Overview
New Listing!! This 1982 CT 54 is the boat to make your blue water dreams come true! "Life Goes On" is incredibly well built and can take you anywhere. Almost completely refitted and updated, this Robert Perry designed ketch reflects the romantic age of sailing that is lost in the common mass-production designs of today. Built with liveaboard comfort in mind, she features a center cockpit raised pilothouse deck that creates an incredibly bright and spacious main living area below, as well as great visibility from the helm.
Stepping below, you are instantly embraced by the bright, yet warm and welcoming wood adorned environment that is perfectly reflective of the boat's overall character. Besides her incredibly roomy saloon, she also features a fantastic working size galley that includes all the modern conveniences you'd expect. For accommodations, she has a very spacious owner's cabin aft with a full private head, a second forward cabin with private toilet, two additional bunk-style berths to starboard, and another pull-out double berth to port. There is also a separate shared shower and head for the forward cabin and berths.
Above deck she is sail away ready. Her two-masted ketch rig sail plan provides the flexibility to sail in everything from friendly breezes to strong offshore conditions. Her original teak decks have been removed by the current owner and the underlying fiberglass deck has been faired and finished with non-skid. Both masts have recently been removed, sanded, primed, and epoxy painted. All standing rigging, lighting, and electronics cables have been replaced. She also has new Dyneema running rigging. Both her main and mizzen sails were fitted with new Quantum stack packs for easy sail handling. Up front, her 130 headsail features a new Schaefer 3100 furling system with new UV cover and there is a new Mack yankee sail.
Truly sail away ready, "Life Goes On" even includes a bow thruster to make shorthanded handling a breeze. Up to date both aesthetically and mechanically, her numerous refit details are too long to list here. See the complete listing for details on all of the engine, mechanical, and electronic system updates have recently been done. Currently the boat winters in the Bahamas and spends the summer hurricane season on the hard on Florida's east coast. Owners are stepping up in size and looking to have her find her next harbor so, life can go on!
