Overview

'SV Eagle' , a 1980 Endeavour 43 Ketch is a Robert Johnson design, built by Endeavour Yachts of Clearwater, FL with a solid fiberglass hull and a closed cell cored decking. She has a molded keel a fixed long fin keel, with encapsulated ballast and a skeg hung rudder.

Her standard bulkhead construction adds strength to hull sides as well as fixed furniture to create a uni-body construction that's well-bonded to the hull. The forward mast is stepped on the keel, while the aft mast is stepped on deck with a compression post.

On deck there's room for six in the mid-cockpit and the deck space is uncluttered with good access forward. There is Edson steering with wheel and engine controls at the helm.

ACCOMODATIONS

Spacious interior offers an abundance of teak cabinetry, teak strip planking in the staterooms, teak parquet cabin sole, and 6'7" headroom throughout.

Aft of the chain locker in the forepeak is an offset double berth to starboard, hanging locker to port. Forward enclosed head with is to starboard and has a NEW Raritan manual marine toilet (2023), stainless sink w/pressure H&C water, hand-held shower, cabinet and mirror.

The main salon features an L shape convertible settee to starboard with hi-lo drop leaf table. The settee slides out and converts into double berth. Storage lockers and shelfs are outboard. Opposite to port are two swivel chairs, a fold up cocktail table, entertainment center, storage lockers and shelfs.

Galley is to port of the companionway and forward facing navigation area is opposite. The passageway to owner's aft cabin follows that includes a large workbench out-board and the control panel and full access to the engine room, in-board.

Aft cabin has a thwartship double berth, hanging lockers, drawers, and adjoining head to port. Head has stall shower, sink, Jabsco manual marine toilet, cabinet and mirror.

There are opening Stainless Steel ports throughout the vessel providing adequate ventilation and the Companionway is on center and leads to a spacious cockpit.

HULL, DECK and SAILS

All spars (masts, booms, and spreaders) are extruded aluminum 6061-T6 alloy, with a protective coating an all external surfaces. The main mast on the E43 is stepped through the cabin roof onto the keel. The mizzen mast is stepped on deck with a supporting post or structure immediately under the mast.
