Overview

NEW LOW PRICE ON THIS OFFSHORE PASSAGEMAKER - CHEAP!!

The Cape Dory 28, designed by Carl Alberg, is known as an exceptionally strong and seaworthy boat! This fine vessel has been extensively cruised and updated by her owners. The original tiller steering has been replaced by an Edson pedestal mounted wheel with an integral Richie Compass. The mainsheet has been relocated to mid-boom with a sturdy traveler mounted on the coachroof out of the cockpit and has the mainsheet winch added for ease of sail trimming! The sheet for the self tending jib has been led to the cockpit and has it's own dedicated winch. There is a Garmin Chartplotter mounted in the cockpit with depth sounder, knotmeter and wind indicator. The interior is comfortable and cozy with electric lighting and a Weems & Plath oil lamp. Eight bronze opening ports and two deck hatches provide great ventilation even in the summer. The bottom was completly sanded and painted with Interlux Micron Ultra in June 2007!

Brokers Comments
This Carl Alberg classic is well known for it's bluewater cruising capabilities. All Cape Dory hulls are molded in one piece with the layers of fiberglass laminated by hand creating superior strength and durability. Easily single handed she sails beautifully and is quite capable to venture to distant shores!
