"Shell Belle" is a serious long range Ketch rigged offshore cruising motor sailor designed by John G. Alden and built in Hong Kong. She has crossed the Atlantic four times including being apart of the commemorative 500th Anniversary of the Columbus crossing. She has also cruised the Bahamas and the Caribbean and is extensively equipped for such including John Deere 6068TFM 220 hp, Vetus Bow Thruster, 12kw Northern Lights Genset, Wind Generator, Solar, Water Maker, Washer/Dryer, Ice Maker, Large Fridge 'n Freezer, Powered Winch, etc.
Both original main and missen wooden spars were replaced in 1995 with aluminum masts and booms with Leasure Furl In Boom Furling on main.
Teak decks were stripped in 2010 and replaced with non skid fiberglass so no teak deck leaks.
She's presently on the hard and ready for inspection at Cape Marina in Port Canaveral, Florida.

Accommodations
The vessel can sleep 8 crew in 3 staterooms and a pilot berth. The forward
stateroom has a double berth. The crew stateroom has 2xsingle bunk beds. The
pilot berth is located in the passageway leading to the master stateroom across
from the engine room and finally the master stateroom has 1 single and 1
double berth. All staterooms have plenty of closet and drawer space. The vessel
also has 2 heads with separate showers. The forward head is adjacent to both the
forward and crew staterooms. The aft head is located in the master stateroom.
Galley
The galley is located forward of the salon. On the starboard side is the refrigerator
and freezer then counter space with Microwave, ice maker, coffee maker and
toaster. These kitchen gadgets are plugged into the 120v galley outlet and receive
120v power from the inverter when the vessel generator or shore power are not
on. (you can make ice, a pot of coffee or toast without starting the generator.
A double s/s sink with hot and cold water taps, a drinking water tap connected to
a .5 micron carbon filter under the sink and finally a salt water tap with the pump
located under the galley floor. On the port side of the galley is the 3 burner/oven
Princess range. A solar powered vent is located above the range. Next to the
range is storage for dishes and a spice cupboard.

Spar, Rigging 'n Sails
All sails are in excellent condition. 130% genoa, main sail and mizzen sail.
Included is a spare main sail plus several others…tri sail, storm sail, spinnaker sail
and spinnaker pole mounted on deck. In boom Leisure furl for main sail.
Conventional mizzen rig. Genoa and main sail can be fully reefed/furled from cockpit.
Anderson electric winch for main sail. The vessel can easily be sailed by a couple.

Vessel Systems
24v Vetus bow thruster with charger. 2x4D batteries in series. This system is
located under the forward berth along with the 24v charger to charge the
batteries. The control joystick is located at the helm.
4000w/200amp inverter charger. This system is connected by a breaker box to
the refrigerator, freezer and the 120v galley outlet. When the vessel is under
generator or shore power the charger recharges the house battery bank and
120v power flows directly to the breaker panel and equipment connected to it.
Otherwise it uses battery power the run the refrigerator, freezer and
whatever equipment is plugged into the galley 120v outlet.
2000w inverter in salon. This inverter is hardwired directly to the house battery
bank via a fuse and provides 120v power to whatever is plugged into it.
Engine Room
The walk-in engine room is where you will find most of the mechanical systems.
Its size makes routine maintenance of the engine and generator uncomplicated
tasks. Also found in the engine room are the water maker components and
controls, the inverter/charger, solar panel, wind generator control and
various pumps and filters. Remote control panels for both the inverter/charger
and solar panels are located at the navigation station in the salon. Access to the
back of the 120v and 12v electrical panel for the vessel is also located here.
Sanitation System
Both heads are plumbed to the fresh water system and pumped into the 100
gallon holding tank or by way of valves pumped overboard where the law permits
(three miles offshore in most instances). A deck fitting located on the starboard
side is used to pump out the tank in areas where direct pump out is not
permitted.

This vessel is ready for serious long range cruising to isolated destinations.
She has crossed the Atlantic 4 times, has cruised the Bahamas and Caribbean
extensively and is fully equipped. On board is an extensive collection of charts
and cruising guide from the great lakes to the Caribbean.
Broker Comments
The bright work can use some loving and there's a couple of port leaks that can be addressed but she's a great value for such a well equipped and seaworthy blue water boat. The boat is presently in storage with head sail and sheets stored down below.
