Descriptions
Vessel is a typical harbor and coastal tug designed with Fire - fighting capability,and has forward superstructure and low open deck with round cruiser type stern.
The superstructure is single tier construction rising 14 feet above the main deck, with raised pilothouse and chart-room.
The pilothouse windows provides 360 degree visibility. All windows have fixed watertight aluminum extrusion framing and tempered glass. There are 3 windows forward, 2 windows on the port and starboard sides and 3 windows facing aft. Additional deck level windows,p& s have a good view of the side decks.
Solid fitted main deck bulwarks leading , approximately 42 feet on the port and starboard sides, from bow stem to mid-ship, having an average height of 30 inches.
Bulwark leading approximately 44 feet on port and starboard from mid-ship to stern reduce to a height of 22 inches. the bulwark is fitted with top round cap-rail with 28 free ports, located within the port and starboard bulwark, with an average opening of 4"h x 45" L.
The vessel is fitted with heavy duty performed wraparound D-rubber fender, 5" w x 5" thick from the stem around the stern, with a height above the waterline of 6' at the bow and 4' at the stern.additional heavy round rubber fenders, 16" in diameter by 10' long, protect the bow and the stern bulwarks.
A towing hook, with double bitts, and one curve 8" tow bow, 25'6" forward of the stern, withe a center line 12" closed fairlead area all mounted over the engine room casing.
One curve 8" tow bow is fitted over the aft deck extending from port bulwark to starboard bulwark 8' forward of the stern. height of the aft tow bow supports at the center-line main deck is 29".
Vessel was originally built to work in ice conditions. The rudder is protected by protrusion from the hull and the forward plating at the bow from the waterline down is doubled.
Vessel is divided by 5 transverse watertight bulkheads into the following compartments:

5. Fuel Oil tanks
6. Steering compartment
Propeller/rudder
Fitted 3 blade variable pitch "Liaaen" electro-hydraulic propeller, Type "G 50". with diameter of 1200 mm. Variable reversible propeller pitch system is fitted with both mechanical-hydraulic pump (driven by main transmission) and the electro-hydraulic pump. One spare blade is present in the boatswain's locker.
A balanced articulated flap type rudder system is fitted, manufactured by Becker marine Systems. It consist of main rudder, hinge system, articulated flap/tab and linkage actuator.
Rudder stock rotation is provided by a Tenfjord rotary system. Hull has an extension aft and downward of the rudder to protect the linkage from ice and debris when going a stern. The steering systems provides a very tight turning circle.
Fixed Fire Monitors
The fire fighting system can instantly convert to salvage pumping if required
Fitted with 3 deluge gum type fire monitors, located way of the bow deck, top of the pilothouse and aft stern deck. Fitted are new port/starboard main suction pipe. Port and starboard side deck each contain 3 section connections, and 1 discharge manifold with 3"x 3" hose connections, 2" x 6" hose connections. The bow also contain a discharge manifold with a 4" x 6" hose connection
Controllable high- capacity water jet system is driven by dual 624 kW indar generator, driving 10" Stork Centrifugal pumps, each with a capacity of 12,000 liters per minutes.
Wheelhouse
Pilothouse bulkheads are fitted with wood panel covering, navigation console of wood frame construction with composite wood grained laminate finish.

Interior lower storage/ galley / dining
Access to galley and lower storage from the pilothouse and/or the starboard main deck passageway. Galley extends across the vessel between the forepeak and the engine room divisions, below the pilothouse. The cooking area is fitted with 1 four burner counter stove top, 2 microwaves, 1 convection oven, 1 small freezer, 1 small refrigerator, 1 stainless steel single sink and counter top. One stand-up crew shower stall is in the galley.
Galley has a dining area with fold-down table/seating for 6, dining bench seats can be arrange to provide 4 single crew sleeping berths - if necessary. The dining area also provides crew lockers and dry storage.

The vessel is not certified for service at this time. The only certificate sighted is in the current Canadian Certificate of Registry, with an expiration date of December 31, 2015
Transport Canada has undertaken to inspect the vessel for commercial operation and have approved the hull and underwater propulsion and steering systems. The vessel has an estimated 70% of the certification process completed.
