1982 Hatteras 56 Widebody Motor Yacht  - "ELIXIR'

'ELIXIR' has a three-stateroom, three-head floorplan with galley down that compares to larger yachts for space and comfort. The wheelhouse is open to salon providing near 360-degree helm visibility.

The Hatteras 56 Motor Yacht is notable in that she was the first Hatteras Motor Yacht to use the super wide double chine Hatteras hull design-the same hull later used in the production of a dozen subsequent Hatteras models. 

Powered by twin Detroit Diesel 8V92TAs in separate engine rooms provide excellent service access, she'll cruise comfortably at 15-16 knots with max speed around 18 knots. 

Her spacious semi-enclosed aft deck is ideal for serious entertaining activities.

Descriptions

Below deck, the galley is down in the resulting in an expansive main deck area with the salon completely open to the wheelhouse.

There are three staterooms and three heads (one not connected) on the lower level including a full-beam master with walkaround queen berth and ensuite head with tub/shower. 

The amidships VIP stateroom has twin berths, and the second guest stateroom is forward with over/under berths and private ensuite head. 

Split walk-in engine rooms flank the corridor leading aft to the master stateroom, and a currently non-functioning washer/dryer is located at the base of the companionway steps.

Double doors open from the spacious salon to the semi-enclosed aft deck with hardtop and enclosure panels. Wing doors open to the wide side decks of the vessel.

Topside, the flybridge has three helm chairs forward and facing settees aft with a grill and wet-bar under a Custom 12' - 20'  Bimini.
