The Hunter Passage 42 blends center-cockpit comfort with surprising performance in a contemporary cruising boat with bluewater capabilities. Her powerful masthead rig, roller furling jib and cockpit line-handling make those long passages truly enjoyable. There is even a double sun pad for those long, lazy afternoons. Below, the 42 is truly a work of art. Designer fabrics, hand-rubbed teak, and Corian counters provide the warm, friendly atmosphere, while her 14-foot beam gives the spaciousness you need. The incredible salon is perfect for dining in or entertaining the crew. Any mate will appreciate the layout of the fully equipped galley. Refrigerator-freezer, LPG stove with oven, microwave and storage galore will change your outlook on cooking aboard. Privacy is paramount for extended cruising and the Hunter 42 with its two-stateroom, two-head design keeps it that way. The sumptuous master stateroom offers a queen-size walk around berth, incredible storage and hanging lockers, plus a full head, complete with a shower-tub. The full-size berth, desk vanity, and adjoining head in the forward guest quarters will be a comfortable refuge after a great day at sea. Hunter provides a complete sail-away combination including an electronics package, electric anchor windlass, stereo-CD, inverter, and a full complement of safety gear.

Descriptions

Boarding RED PEPPER is via openings in the stainless-steel life lines on either the port or starboard sides. There is ample room to walk on deck completely around the vessel comfortably. Forward on the bow and ready to deploy are 55-lb plow anchor & a Bruce anchor (both rigged and ready to go).  On the stern is a sun pad for relaxing and a tender davit for launching & recovering your inflatable and a rail mount for the outboard which is easily mount using the outboard davit.   The Cockpit & Helm area can be accessed from port or starboard though roll up openings in the full Isinglass enclosure and you are protected from the sun by the Bimini top. All sailing winches are accessible from the cockpit area making ailing a breeze.

You enter the large main salon through the door in the forward part of the cockpit. To port is a large couch and dinette seating 6-8 comfortably, with and additional love seat on the starboard side that seats 3-4.  The full galley is to starboard and aft of the salon with has ample countertop space and under/over the counter storage.  The galley is well equipped to make all of your meals and snacks. The Guest Stateroom is forward with a queen berth, privacy door and ensuite that also acts as a day head with access from the salon.  The Master Stateroom is aft through a passage to the privacy door.  The master has a queen berth that is ¾ walk around with hank lockers on the starboard side and a settee with make-up vanity on the port side, Access to the ensuite head is in the forward starboard corner of the stateroom, and the ensuite has lost of storage and a separate shower.
