2008 Grand Banks 47 Heritage Classic
Boat Type: Downeast Address: Sarasota, FL, US Price: $695,000

Overview

Boma's current owner purchased the vessel in June of 2023. Since then, he has been preparing the yacht for cruising the Bahamas and the Carribean. There have been many recent upgrades including the replacement of all air conditioners, New Starlink System, New AV system, and complete engine and generator service. Over 12K was spent on New Mattresses, linens, and bedspreads alone. They have not been used since purchased. All windows were tinted with 3M top quality window coatings. Fire suppression system has just been recertified for a 5-year term. The water heater is currently being replaced with New. Unfortunately, due to medical issues, the new owner has to change his plans. If you are looking for a updated yacht which is ready to Cruise, Boma is for you.

The vessel has only had two prior owners. The initial owner ordered many custom details, ensuring the build was executed to perfection. They cruised her in Chesapeake Bay, New England, and Florida. The second owner cruised the yacht in New England waters and stored her in a heated building for the winter. She has been well cared for. Price just reduced

Descriptions

Design

Boma is a Classic Trunk Cabin layout. Originally designed by Ken Smith in the year 1965, the design became legendary, evolving through many GB sizes and models. The last fore and aft trunk cabin model was built in 2009. The 47 Heritage Classic, designed by Sparkman & Stephens, bridged the gap between the trawler and motor yacht. Boma is an updated version, offering two suites--one fore and one aft, both with ensuite heads and island queen beds. The galley is mid-level, open to the salon, offering maximum natural light and ventilation. The salon has large windows offering 360-degree views and comfortable furnishings with side-deck and aft salon access to the flybridge. The flybridge has generous seating in helmsman and navigator STIDD chairs, a large corner settee, and L-shaped settee, and a port-side single settee, accompanied by a wet bar and hand-crafted teak table. The S & S design is a planing hull, cruising at 18 knots with a maximum speed of approximately 22 knots. The Naiad stabilizers provide a very comfortable motion in any sea at displacement speeds.
