Just Back In Dec 2023 From a 3 Year Cruise

 

Ted Brewer designed this impressive offshore cutter specifically for long term, long distance, blue water cruising.  Built in the Philippines, Andiamo features a canoe stern, a stern arch with solar and davits, a modified full keel with modest draft,  powerful cutter rig,  massive fuel and water capacity,  heavy construction, and a rich solid teak interior.  There are no veneers to be found on this vessel.  These boats were built to last a lifetime, and with her recent refit this one will last several more.  This may be the only center cockpit Oceanic 43 ever produced, as most were pilothouse versions. 

Andiamo had an extensive refit from 2016-2019 in preparation for a 3 year cruise.  Everything from stem to stern has been updated and upgraded in order to make this a nearly ideal long term cruiser.   Her knowledgeable owners cruised her full time from 2020 through December 2023.  They logged around 10,000 miles and explored almost every port on the Western, Eastern and Southern Caribbean over their three year journey.   All the while continuing to upgrade her, making the boat perfect for their cruising lifestyle.

Descriptions

Vessel Layout

Entering the companionway, there is a large U-shaped galley to port.  Opposite the galley to starboard is a navigation station with chart table and updated Blue Seas breaker panels.  There is a fixed drop leaf table centerline.   To port is a L-shaped settee that converts to a wide berth, and to starboard are two settees with a card table in between.  The card table can be lowered in order to make an additional sea berth.    Forward you will find a traditional V-berth and a day head to port with access from the salon or forward cabin.   Walking aft from the nav-station, there is a large workshop/ passageway with tool storage and engine room access.  Walking through the passageway you find the  aft stateroom with a  centerline queen berth and a private head with shower.
