Overview
Long Range Motorsailor
Ultimate Comfort and Economy
This owner of the past 20 years is ready to let go of his baby. She's been a little neglected cosmetically on her exterior in the past few years, but she has been very well upgraded in many ways. Lots of extras including a newer generator, bow thruster, clothes washer, solar, wind, water maker, fuel polishing system, inverter and decent electronics make her a must-see. Her interior and decks are in very good condition.
The Gulfstar Sailmasters are well known for their unbelievably roomy interiors. They boast 6'5" or more headroom throughout most of the boat and have as much beam as many motor yachts. Their rich teak interiors are warm and inviting and very well executed.
The galley is centrally located with plenty of storage The aft stateroom is enormous with a centerline queen berth. Both heads feature separate stall showers. The design incorporates several wrap-around windows in the raised cabin top, which create bright and airy accommodations below.
With 195 gallons of fuel and 300 gallons of water, you'll have an impressive cruising range. A Sailmaster is as good as it gets for living aboard and long-term tropical cruising.

Brokers CommentsPhantasea is loaded with equipment that is functional, but her next owner will likely want to take care of the following projects:
- The refrigerator needs new door seals or the unit will need to be replaced entirely
- Small fiberglass/ paint repair is needed on the bow area. Approx 6"x4". Damage sustained from bow rubbing on the dock. (See photo)
- The stern pulpit on the port side will need to be repaired. (Bent and support tube missing)
- Most of the running rigging is stiff and will need to be replaced.
- Hull paint has been buffed through on some areas of the stern but is mostly in good condition
- Windows are reported to have been pulled and resealed in the past 10 years and no known leaks are active, however, the aftermarket tinting film on the port and forward side is opaque and starting to peel off. The film needs to be removed, and the windows cleaned and buffed.
- The Exterior teak is in good condition but will need to be refinished
- The furlers need to be serviced
- The boat currently has blisters below the waterline. Mostly small in size.
