1986 Island packet 27

This boat is in amazing condition. It has been well maintained and upgraded over recent years.

In 2019 the brightwork has been professionally done. The chain plates have been replaced by  Island Packet's service reps and new davits (will be installed by November). A new electrical bilge pump was installed. The canvas has new sacrifice strips and clear isinglass dodger attached. A new two speed selftailing Lewmar #30 winch placed on the main cabin.

In recent years, the electronics: Chart plotter, depth, speed and autopilot, refrigeration unit, port lights (changed to stainless steel), fuel and water tank, cockpit cushion upgraded.

The engine: Yanmar 2GM20F has only 1,100 hours on it. The transmission is a Kanzaki KMZ-C.

The air conditioner (on a 27-foot sailboat) is a Marine Air System - Reverse Cycle 10,000 BTU.

The sail inventory consists of a furling genoa, A cutter sail, a storm sail and a full batten main sail with lazy jacks. They are in good condition.

The bottom was painted and bottom and is cleaned by a diver monthly- Diver stated that the 60% on the life is left on the painted bottom.

Broker notes

I have sailed "Panasea". She performed very well. The winds where estimated to be between 10 - 12 knots and the boat on a beam reach hit 6.5 knots. This was accomplished under a full genoa and full main. The engine started and ran without incident. All instrumentation, except for the depth, worked well.  The large layout of the cockpit provided a very comfortable place to sail from. The helm responded and there was virtually no weather helm.

The interior is very clean and cushions and mattress well foamed. The sole, cabinetry and joinery are in excellent condition. The hull and decks are solid. The chain plates were just replaced.

The newer tanks, the refrigeration, battery charger, port lights upgrade, etc. makes this boat a must see.
