1977 Trident Warrior
Boat Type: Cruiser Address: Fort Lauderdale, FL, US Price: $36,900

Overview

The Trident Warrior 35 was manufactured in Britain by Trident Marine of the highest standard with extensive use of natural materials throughout.

It is renowned for her sea keeping qualities and is often chosen as the boat for extended cruising. It is easily handled and a joy to sail and has a loyal following.

This Bermudan sloop is 35' LOA and 26' 3" LWL with a 10' 6" Beam and 5' Draft. There is wheel steering with an automatic pilot in the deep center cockpit and 6/7 berths in the three cabins.

The ship was bought in 2010 by the current owners, a young couple who left England in February 2011 for an extended live aboard cruise. They crossed the Atlantic and entered the Caribbean in June 2011, where they enjoyed cruising the Islands. They have finally arrived in Fort Lauderdale, and are reluctantly putting "Croc Bones" on the market in order to return home and continue their careers.

The center-cockpit Warrior 35 has very distinctive rounded curves to the fore and aft ends of the coachroof structures, and are sought after as blue water cruisers. With their long keel, moderate draught and displacement, and excellent ballast ratio, they are a good GRP interpretation of a traditional cruising yacht.

Owner's comment Re Questions Asked

-How many hours on engine? - The engine does not have an hour counter on it, yet the engine was professionally serviced and all steps taken that the mechanic recommended before undergoing our trip. This included rebuilding raw water pump, replacing all rubber hoses and exhaust hoses for the cooling system. New double fuel filters, additional water strainer. The compression of each cylinder was tested and all were within the normal range. The all oils replaced including gear box oil.
-when last hauled and bottom painted?
The last time it was hauled was for the survey, we regularly dived below to scrub the hull. The year of anti-foul is not known to us.
-Size of the solar panels ? These are 80Watt panels (2 of)
-size (5/16; 3/8) & type (HT; BBB) & length/condition of chain? The chain is 30meters long with thickness 3/8. The chain was bought around April last year and never slips on our windlass.
-Spinnakers ? (2)– asymmetrical?  Has sock or bag? The vessel is equipped with a near new symmetrical spinnaker complete with bag and a cruising chute with sock yet this has a tear. The yacht also has a spinnaker pole
-Cockpit cushions? No. Several other cushions and bedding was replaced when we got the boat. A new memory foam mattress for the for-peak and new mattress for the aft cabin
-Refrigeration ? this is a large isotherm branded ice box under the chart table. It is the type that the plate freezes and then slowly thaws through-out the day. We loved this fridge as it be only had to be turn on for 1 hour in the morning and then for 30 minutes at night.

- Current slip – available short term – 2 or 3 months – Cost?  The vessel is on a long term slip. This is $350 per month
-Personal items– all  pots, pans, etc;  harnesses/life jackets; jack lines  etc; plates, cutlery, storage containers considered personal items have been removed to leave the boat uncluttered.  Only the bare minimal remains ready for the new owners to move in and make it their own.
