Overview
The name Westsail has become legendary when spoken in the sailing family. Jay is an example why these blue water vessels are selected by passage makers around the world. This vesel has been to the far east and back by the second owner who has lectured about his adventures. Health reasons forced sale to the present owner who has added many upgrades over the past three years. People are always stopping to see this yacht. She is ready to continue cruising adventures under new ownership. After four years living aboard thenpresent owner wants to travel on lnd.
Volumes of storage, both dry and wet hanging lockers, ample drawer space, along with ample counter space makes this one of the largest 32's available. Factory finish makes this Westsail a rare find. Ventilatiion is provided by opening ports and hatches making air conditioning unnecessary.

AccommodationsThis factory finished boat shows well with the beautiful teak and mahogany wood and has been updated with new upholstery, fresh paint and new refrigeration. From the galley to the bow forward locker, care and attention to detail is evident.
Down the companionway, the galley is to port. A "U" configuration provides counter space for food preparation with several shelves and drawers for storage. The stand up nav station, opposite the galley also acts as additional counterspace ( with microwave) all within easy reach og the cook.
Forward the galley is the dinette which converts to a double berth when entertaining over night guests.
Opposite the dinette a pilot berth is above the full length straight settee which extends into a quarterberth.
Forward the dinette is the head. A full lenght hanging lockeris across from the head for additional storage. The bow sports a large vee berth that sleeps two, bringing the total sleeping accomodations to six (on a 32' sailboat).
GalleyThere is ample space for the gourmet chef with a large/deep double hatch refrigerator ( freezer). A cutting board is over the two burner propane stove with oven. A deep stainless steel is just off the centerline to eliminate spillage when under sail.

Electronics & Navigational EquipmentJay is equipped with passagw making navigation systems. She has crossed the Pacific Ocean twice. A Furuno 24 mile radar allows tracking vessels in the shipping lanes. She has sufficient communication radios to keep in touch with friends and fellow travelers.

ElectricalJay is an ocean cruiser complete with 3KW diesel generator. Batteries are in two banks (2 house/1 starter) installed in 2002. Wiring has been professionally inspected and upgraded, as required, to existing yacht electrical standards.

Deck and Hull EquipmentThe teak decks reminds us of yesteryear when wooden boats were standard. The teak decks have been left natural and there is plenty of thickness for years to come. Sails and hatches have new canvas covers. The mast and most standing rigging was replaced in 2002.
There are three anchors for any bottom condition. Anchor rode is 300' 5/8' chain. High coamings help keep the crew dry during rough seas.

Mechanical & Engine RoomJay has been maintained by a knowledgable owner and the head lines completely replaced and a new 15 gallon holding tank installed. The original engine was replaced in 1989 and serviced on a regular basis.
