Accommodations and Galley
CABINS - Sleeps 6 - Heading forward down the companionway, the sleeping cabins are immediately to the left and right, with teak doors for privacy, that slide out of the way when open. Each cabin is equal in size, each with a double bed, electric fans, reading lights, your own opening port with screen, three drawers, a lighted hanging locker and room to dress in privacy. The only difference is in the starboard cabin where there is an attractive teak shelf with turned fiddles and a cabinet for more storage. In the port cabin, these have been removed for more sleeping roominess. Both cabins have pocket panels forward that can be lifted for privacy, or kept lowered for more openness, light and air.

SALON - On the starboard side going forward is the extremely large settee (8.5'long) with storage under. This also makes into yet another double bed with a provided insert. There is a small fiddled pedestal table in the center (also with storage and a drawer inside) that can be used as a cocktail table, dinner for two with one leaf opened, or,ingeniously, for dinner for up to 6 with all the leaves open. Behind the table is attractive nook shelving and doors that open up to a rack for wine or liquor bar.

PANTRY - Still on the starboard side, forward of the settee is a pantry with vented teak doors with shelving inside for lots of provisions. On top is another fiddled shelf with room for fruit basket, alone with an attractive crystal shaded lamp.

NAV STATION - On the port side aft is the comfortable and practical nav station, with pedestal mounted swiveled easy chair, like brand new from the original factory. The table top slides in for more space, or out to accommodate full size charts. Here also are shelves and drawers for storage. Both the AC and DC electrical panels are at the chart table, as they should be.

GALLEY - Going forward from the nav station on the port side is a large top loading fridge with good insulation and Adler Barber refrigeration (New in 2004). Forward of that is the gimbaled two burner propane stove and oven (oven currently is inoperable... needs parts). There you will find the galley storage, counter top and deep SS sink with nautical brass hot and cold water faucets and a attractive brass manual sea water pump. On the bulkhead is a handy spice cabinet and a brass gimbaled Weems & Plath flower vase.

HEAD - Forward of the saloon is a teak louvered door that leads into one of the most attractive and practical yacht heads you will find. It has a delightful mirror at counter top level that swivels to accommodate any height person. There is a Jabsco hand pump toilet (New in 2004, rebuilt in 2006), a sit down shower on the port side with removable teak flooring grate that drains into a dedicated shower sump with overboard pump (New in 2004).

Sails and Sailing Equipment
This rig is designed for long ocean cruising. For example, twin main sheets from each side of cabin top secures the main boom in position. This also delivers the functions of a boom vang and preventer. The choices of flying 4 different sails simultaneously, provides numerous options for all wind and sailing conditions.

Electronics and AV
Most all of the electronics and AV equipment was bought new and professionally installed in late 2003 and early 2004

Engine & Electrical

Deck and Hull Equipment
The Bayfield has first rate hardware and fittings throughout, as is the norm on top quality world cruising capable yachts such as this Gozzard design.

Other Mechanical

Dinghy & Davits
Atkins & Hoyle 1400 Rotating Davit System (New in 2004)- The stainless steel and cast aluminum davits can adjust to most sizes, type or shape dinghy. When not in use, they can be folded flush with the stern push pit.

SAILING TENDER SHOWN IS OPTIONAL AND SEPARATELY PRICED for $3,500 -- Custom hand crafted classic rowing and sailing tender, made the traditional way with glued lapstrakes, bronze rivets and planked with Oakum teak marine plywood. Transom, seats, tiller and trim are mahogany, hardware is bronze. It is complete and ready for rowing and sailing with oars, dagger board, rudder, cedar mast and spars, reefable spirit sail and rigging, (all New in 2004). It was built over the winter of 2004 by the owner's brother, one of many boats he has built. It is based on plans from a 1903 classic. More information can be found, including more pictures, on the web if you go to duck-trap dot com and look for Sunshine. This is the same boat featured in this ad where they mis-named it "Australia". The owner calls the it "Puddle".

The owner feels that the dinghy belongs with Chelsea Belle (the scroll work is even matching), so it is being offered only to Chelsea Belle's buyer. It will not be sold separately. But, the owner understands that some yachtsmen might prefer another type of tender. That is why it is priced separately.
